Adobe ColdFusion Builder is the new IDE for ColdFusion. With ColdFusion already being accepted as a platform which is simple to use yet powerful RAD tool, the only missing piece according to me was the IDE. The IDE-team has changed my notion of a version-1 product. The IDE has shaped up well and has loads of features that would help you to quickly write ColdFusion applications. You can also write Extensions to the IDE in CFML! An overview of Adobe ColdFusion Builder is here.
I have been part of ColdFusion Product team for close to 5 years now. ColdFusion 9 is the fourth full release of ColdFusion in which I have worked with from day 1 (after ColdFusion 7.0.1, ColdFusion 8, ColdFusion 8.0.1). My passion with ColdFusion is increasing with every release. This release is special as 2 major products were developed in the same time frame facing the toughest problems in software. The ColdFusion product team has worked extremely well to counter those and deliver a high-quality public beta for both the products on time. The team is now having its fingers crossed and are expecting feedback from you. Hope you enjoy the public beta.
