Whats in a name?
Its all good news for the Bangaloreans. Bangalore has got the much-awaited international airport going! But it doesn’t end there. The next problem is to find a suitable name for the airport. As usual, different sets of people have different suggestions – Kempegowda the Founder of Bangalore, Mahatma Gandhi the Father of India, Rajkumar the matinee idol of Karnataka, Vishveshwaraiah the genious civil engineer who built the famous KRS dam, etc. The latest addition to this list is S V Setty. S V Setty is easily the less popular of them all. But after reading the aritcle at http://pease1.sr.unh.edu/pipermail/cci/2005-March/000981.html , it looks like this name too fits well in that list of probables. The article signifies that he is the first asian to build an aircraft!
“…In 1912, S.V. Setty not only rebuilt, after his own design, an aircraft built by A.V. Roe & Co. of Manchester, but also flew it…”.
What should be the name? Well, dont expect me to give a verdict! No, not me. Its a decision best left to the decision makers!
But seriously, whats in a name?
Cool way to beat the traffic boredom!!
Have a idea to beat the traffic blues in Bangalore??? Ask the lady in the car….Work on the steering wheel when the traffic moves…Read the book when the traffic slows down…Now dont ask me how I beat the blues…
